There are two choices when considering using the deionization process in a plant: Service DI (SDI) also called Service Exchange and Installed DI Systems.
Companies use SDI to produce deionized water from relatively high-conductivity deionized water to the highest quality, ultrapure water for semiconductor, pharmaceutical and power production.
Our service exchange can be for permanent, temporary or emergency applications with flow requirements from low to hundreds of gallons per minute. DI exchange tanks eliminate the regeneration cost, waste treatment permitting and responsibility of a regenerable DI system, and provide an uninterrupted flow of ultrapure quality water.
Nalco Pretreatment Solutions (PTS) provides portable service DI water systems throughout the United States. Our service area includes the East coast, Midwest and West coast. Nalco PTS delivers from 1 cubic foot to 42 cubic foot tanks filled with regenerated ion exchange resins. Depending upon your requirements, tanks are PVDF-lined FRP, Poly-lined FRP or all stainless steel.
A company should consider an installed DI system if the demand is relatively constant, the water quality is consistent, and they have the training to handle chemicals and the permits to discharge waste regenerant chemicals.
